Meet our new Sports Therapist Katie

Katie Eatock – BSc (Hons), MSST – Sports Therapist
Hello my name is Katie Eatock and I am a Sports Therapist. My path towards a career in Sports Therapy was ignited by my love for gymnastics. I’ve been an athlete myself, and like many, I’ve faced various injuries during my athletic journey. These personal experiences sparked a deep-seated passion within me to assist fellow athletes in their goal to return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.
My journey began when I was just ten years old, achieving the impressive title of Northwest Champion in gymnastics. This significant accomplishment marked a turning point in my life, driving me to seek new challenges and horizons within the realm of sports.
One such challenge came in the form of cheerleading, where I continued to thrive. As part of a dedicated team, we celebrated numerous victories in national competitions. But it was during this time that I found a new fascination with anatomy and sporting injuries.
While cheerleading was exhilarating, I couldn’t help but become deeply interested in anatomy and the itricatices of how our bodies work. This newfound curiosity led me to explore the world of Sports Therapy as this profession allows me to combine my passion for sports with my growing fascination for the human body.
Today, I’m proud to be actively engaged in the field of Sports Therapy, offering vital services such as injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and sports massages to athletes of all backgrounds.
One of the most exciting aspects of my career is my collaboration with Wharfedale Rugby Club. Where I have been privileged to work closely with this passionate and dedicated team, providing my skills and expertise to help the players get back on the rugby pitch. By colaberating with Wharfedale Rugby Club, I have gained valuable insights into the world of rugby. Where I have learned about the sport’s unique physical demands and common injuries associated with it, enabling me to offer tailored services to meet these specific needs.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my journey as a Sports Therapist. I am proud to be the newist member of the team at A+ Sports Therapy, where I have a clinic every Thursday from 10am to 4pm and look forward to helping you get back into doing what you love the most!
