We are still open, even in these testing times!
The past few months have been very different and testing times for all of us and the way we live and work has immeasurably changed. At A+ Sports Therapy we have adapted to new ways of working and while our therapists always enjoy the face to face contact with our patients and love to be able to use manual therapy skills to help reduce their pain and to enable them to get the best out their exercises. We have made some changes to our normal way of working.
As ever, your health and safety is our top priority and so we are following Public Health England’s guidelines on the safe practices for face to face appointments and therefore we have implemented a number of modifications about which we would like to inform you.
Steps we have taken to provide a COVID secure clinic:
Infection Prevention Measures
These measures have been put in place to further increase hygiene and protect your health.
Clinic rooms have been deep cleaned and all soft furnishings removed. Our usual pillows have been replaced with wipe clean versions.
Hand sanitiser stations have been placed throughout the facility. Upon both arrival and departure, you are required to use the hand sanitiser that is located adjacent to the entrance.
Forehead temperature measurements are in place as standard and it is the policy that every person entering the facility must be temperature checked prior to their appointment.
Appointment times will be staggered to help social distancing and we ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your allotted time. You will be collected from the front door of the clinic by your therapist and will be escorted straight to the clinical room.
We ask that you avoid bringing someone else with you to the appointment. Although under 16s will still need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We are allowing extra time between appointments to allow for thorough cleaning of the rooms between patients.
Therapist’s will be wearing full PPE including a face mask and visor and if necessary they will also use aprons and gloves.
We ask that you wear a face mask, which must be worn properly and at all times when moving throughout the facility.
If you develop any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a new continuous cough, fever or loss of taste or smell you must contact your practitioner and cancel your appointment.
You must follow track & trace guidelines set out by the Government if you are contacted.
Physical distancing of an absolute minimum of 1 metre and ideally 2 metres is to be maintained whenever practicable. Although this will not apply when receiving specific therapeutic treatments.
We hope that you find the steps we have taken to be reassuring and you will feel confident in coming to see us. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to treating you in the clinic in the near future.
