Meet our new Physiotherapist James

James Cork – Physiotherapist

Hello, my name is James, I am a HCPC State Registered and Chartered Physiotherapist based at “A+ Sports Therapy” in Manchester.

I’m a recently qualified physiotherapist with a strong foundation in evidence-based practice & hands-on clinical experience across a wide range of therapy settings. My training took place in dynamic environments where I developed skills in musculoskeletal therapy, stroke rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy & pediatric care. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support a wide range of patients needs, from rehabilitation of acute injuries to the management of long-term conditions.

I take a patient-centred approach to treatment, tailoring each plan to the individual’s goals, background & preferences. I enjoy working with both athletic & non-athletic populations, supporting people who are aiming to return to sport as well as those focused on improving everyday movement, mobility & quality of life. I believe that collaborative decision-making fosters empowerment & engagement an I remain responsive to changing circumstances to ensure care evolves with the patient’s journey.

I am committed to staying current with the latest clinical research & techniques, regularly reviewing literature to refine my practice an ensure treatments are grounded in the most up-to-date evidence. I combine manual therapy with active rehabilitation, tailored exercise programs & patient education to create a personalised & engaging recovery experience for people of all activity levels.

Outside of physiotherapy, I lead an active lifestyle an have a long-standing passion for athletics. I competed in track & field at regional, state an national levels, which has shaped my understanding of movement, performance & injury recovery.  Running continues to be a major part of my life, alongside hiking, surfing & regular visits to the gym.

I’m excited to meet you in the clinic and support your journey to better health. I am available at “A+ Sports Therapy” on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 8pm + Wednesday & Friday Mornings  from 8am to 2pm and you can book in for a treatment with me now!
